Seerp studied Dutch law at the University of Groningen. He successfully completed the Bankruptcy Law course at Grotius Academie, as well as the Financial Economy for Trustees course at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Work experience
After his studies, Seerp worked as a lawyer in Zwolle. In 1998, he switched to a medium-sized law firm in Amsterdam, where he was a partner from 2002. On 1 February 2007, Seerp joined Certa Legal as a partner. Within his specialist areas, Seerp provides legal advice and legal services in a broad sense, in supervising several corporate law projects and conducting legal proceedings, both in the Netherlands and internationally. He furthermore has broad experience as a trustee in bankruptcy cases and as an administrator in suspensions of payment. Seerp’s clients vary from private individuals, such as directors and shareholders, to small and medium-sized enterprises and multinationals.
